// Germicidal UV for Agriculture

Pathogen control.
Zero residue.

Renegade UV controls plant disease using precisely tuned germicidal UV light — no chemical residues, no resistance development, no worker exposure. Built for the controlled environment agriculture industry.

Pesticides were
the only option.
Until now.

The global food supply depends almost entirely on chemical pesticides to control bacterial and fungal infections in crops — yet these chemicals come with serious trade-offs that the industry has been living with for decades.

For controlled environment agriculture — greenhouses, vertical farms, and high-value plant isolation rooms — fungal outbreaks can mean multi-day production shutdowns, significant yield losses, and escalating input costs.

And the options for dealing with them haven't changed much. Until germicidal UV.

Resistance Evolution

Pathogens evolve resistance to chemical fungicides over time, requiring ever-stronger treatments or rotation strategies.

Worker & Environmental Exposure

Pesticide application carries real risks to human health and surrounding ecosystems, creating liability and regulatory burden.

Residue on Produce

Chemical treatments leave residues that limit market access and increasingly conflict with consumer and regulatory expectations.

High Recurring Cost

Input and application costs for chemical pest control represent a significant and ongoing operational expense.

Modular UV-C LED
lightbar platform.

Renegade UV develops scalable, modular germicidal UV-C LED arrays purpose-built for controlled environment agriculture. Our platform uses low-cost UV-C LEDs paired with advanced sensor technology and feedback control — delivering precise, targeted disinfection without the downsides of chemistry.

No Resistance Pathway

Pathogens cannot evolve resistance to UV light. Renegade UV provides a permanent, durable mode of action.

🌿
Zero Residue

UV leaves nothing behind on plants or produce, opening doors to premium markets with strict residue requirements.

💡
Modular & Scalable

Our lightbar format fits into existing CEA infrastructure and scales with your operation, from a single room to full facilities.

🔬
Expert Installation & Validation

We provide end-to-end support: device installation, in-house modeling, and validated performance data for your facility.

🛡️
Reduce Worker Exposure

Eliminate the occupational health risks tied to pesticide application and handling — a meaningful benefit for your team.

📉
Lower Operating Costs

Shorter inter-crop periods, reduced pesticide inputs, and fewer disease-related shutdowns all contribute to improved margins.

Built for
indoor growers.

  • Production Greenhouses & GlasshousesHigh-value crops where disease control directly impacts yield and revenue.
  • Vertical FarmsDense, controlled environments where fungal pressure can spread rapidly across an entire operation.
  • Plant Isolation RoomsWhere fungal burden causes multi-day production downtime — one of our highest-impact use cases.
  • High-Value Nurseries & FloricultureOperations where residue-free production has direct market access implications.

"The world food supply relies on chemical pesticides and IPM practices to control bacterial and fungal infections — but germicidal UV technology has the potential to be easier and more efficacious than current methods."
